Lake Louise area

• Taylor Lake

Banff area

• Johnston Canyon
• Ink Pots (natural springs)
• Lake Bourgeau & Mount Bourgeau

Jasper area & Columbia Icefields

• Cinquefoil Mountain
• Maligne Canyon & Maligne Lake
• Beauty Creek (Columbia Icefields)

Animals

• Gray whale, elk, moose
• (White-tailed?) deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, black bear
• Columbian & golden-mantled ground-squirrels, hoary marmot
• In the Rockies, we also saw two young grizzlies (in the Opal Hills), a porcupine (at Upper Twin Lake), a coyote, grey wolves and the ubiquitous Clark's nutcracker
• At Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island, we also saw colonies of stellar & Californian sealions and harbour seals, a single sea otter (still very rare), numerous bald eagles and a humming-bird
